Climate Action Resilience Week

November 4th, 2024 - November 8th, 2024

SCPHA will host Climate Action Resilience Week (November 4th - 8th) to raise climate awareness among the college-aged group. This youth-led initiative empowers local changemakers to address climate concerns for a sustainable future. With 84% of global youth worried about climate change, SCPHA seeks to identify their concerns to shape future decisions and research.

Nov 4th: Climate Cafe Session (6 - 7:30 PM)

SCPHA will host the Climate Cafe Session as an informal, open, respectful, confidential space to safely share emotional responses and reactions to the climate and environmental emergency.

Nov 5th: SCPHA Tree Planting Initative (9 - 11AM)

Join the South Carolina Public Health Association to plant trees at Martin Luther King Jr. Park to promote climate resiliency.

Nov 6th: Don't Waste Food SC: Kitchen Demo (4:30 - 6:30PM)

The South Carolina Public Health Association presents the Don't Waste Food SC Kitchen Demo. Learn how to be sustainable while cooking.

Nov 7th: Sustainable Art for Climate Awareness Exhibit (5 - 8PM)

Calling all DIY creators and artists! Join the South Carolina Public Health Association for the Sustainable Art for Climate Awareness Exhibit during the First Thursday on Main Street.

Nov 8th: Green Networking Breakfast (8:30 - 10:00 AM)

Would you like to discuss current sustainability topics? The University of South Carolina's Office of Sustainability, Sustainable Carolina, and Moore School Sustainability Initiative will host the Annual 2024 Green Networking Breakfast. The Office of Sustainability encourages SCPHA members to join!
